Hi all,

Hope everyone has had a very merry Christmas! We are looking forward to a very happy new year, because the ship carrying the Ultimate Treasury books is arriving Monday, January 1st! Exactly how long port processing will take is never certain, but our printer's estimate is that we should be able to arrange truck delivery on or around January 12th! Once the pallets are broken down stored, we can start getting these books headed your way! 

We also got an early Christmas present when we received our pre-press card decks for our Legendary Loot cards! It took longer than expected, but we are very happy with how the card boxes finally came out and we hope you love them too! We only got a small batch of each deck, but we'll send out these books to lucky backers once the books arrive. The full print runs of the cards are shipping separately, with that shipment currently due to leave Hong Kong on January 23, so hopefully by late February or early March we'll have those in hand as well to complete fulfillment for folks getting the card decks! 

We hope your 2024 will become a year we hope you always treasure, and we thank you for your support of this project!

Hi there,

A quick followup on the last update. We have received confirmation that our books are now ready to load onto their ship on November 30, with departure on December 9 and a scheduled arrival date at the Port of Tacoma of January 1. The customs estimate is currently two weeks (which would give a delivery date on or around January 15), and that tracks with how long it usually takes to process loads, but that is an estimate. We've had customs processing take as short as a few days, but in one case it was more like 7 or 8 weeks. It all depends on how busy the port is when the load arrives. About 2 weeks, sometimes 3 has definitely been the most common time for customs processing.

Once customs are cleared, we're only located about 5 miles from the port, so we can usually get truck delivery within a day or two, and when the pallets are delivered, we'll be able to break them down and start shipping within a few days after that!

A shipping date at last for our books!

What a long, crazy wait it's been, but we've just been informed that our slot in the shipping queue is here at last. Our printer has let us know that November 28th is our tentative RTS (Ready to Ship) date! Once they finalize the ship booking, we'll receive a projected ocean shipping schedule that will let us know how long the shipment will take to arrive. Past experience with the actual ocean freight part of things is that it's usually around a 5 to 6-week sail from Hong Kong to Seattle/Tacoma. We're only a few miles away from the Port of Tacoma, but once the shipment arrives there is still the wait for local customs clearance, which can vary quite a bit from days to weeks, depending on how busy the port is, but once it's cleared it's a pretty quick process to arrange local truck delivery from the port to us.

We'll see if the schedule tracks with past experience (the wait to get *on* the ship certainly hasn't, but fingers crossed that now that we've got our ship things will get back on track), that would probably put the shipment as arriving here stateside in mid-January, and if customs moves along at a decent speed we can have books in hand and ready to start shipping by the end of January!

Thanks for your patience with the process. We apologize for the delay but have been doing what we could to poke and prod our partners along. We are excited to get these books on their way to you!

Card Boxes have been so much more trouble than I would have thought!

We've gone back and forth several times with the printer, but tiny little things here and there keep kicking them back. This week we are sending back the latest adjustments to make sure everything fits the way it is supposed to. We've done card decks before but this is our first time designing the card boxes, and I've definitely learned it's a much more fine-tuned process than I would have thought. 

In any case, fingers crossed that we've finally got everything sorted and ready to push print!

Hi all,

It's been a minute since we checked in, so here's our latest update:

1.  Books: Our books have been printed and are awaiting shipment! That's the good news. The bad news: There's a long backlog in international shipping and we're still waiting our turn in line. We'll let you know once the books hit the water and start heading toward us. 

2.  Cards: The cards themselves are ready to print, but we have been having a devil of a time getting the card boxes for them sorted out. This has been our first big card project and its turned out to be a lot trickier than expected, with repeated back and forth issues, first with the cards themselves and then with the boxes, but I'm pretty sure we've got it all sorted out at last and should be able to turn over the final box files next week and finally get those off to print. Note that all card deck orders also include the FREE oversized Deck #6 that we created after the Kickstarter ended as a thank you to our fans for your patience on this project. 

I look forward to getting the sample decks back from our printer when they're ready to show them off and even send out early bonus copies to our fans! Thanks for your support and we hope you love them when they arrive for you!
